The Velvet Sky

by Roberto Aguirre-sacasa

The Velvet Sky, by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, is a one act play that Love decided to place in a found space art exhibit. This production was produced by Shenanigans Pop-Up Theatre Student Group and in collaboration with the Monfort College of Business at the University of Northern Colorado. Love leaned into the absurdist aspects of the space, creating a haunting and alluring effect as audiences walk around the action. This promenade theatrical production was a hit, immersing audiences that would become the New Yorkers simply passing by and observing the nightmare journey the characters go through. The Velvet Sky was open April 9th and 10th 2022 and was the premiering show immersed into The Fugue, a 1981 sculpture by Barbara Grygutis, in Kepner Hall, home of the Montfort College of Business.

Conception to Closing: October '21 - April '22
